Vertical Machining Centers

Used vertical CNC machining centers – overview of available machines with technical data. Send us your inquiry.

Used vertical machining centers (VMC) are the backbone of metal cutting: with a vertically oriented spindle they mill, drill, tap and contour workpieces in steel, aluminum, cast iron and plastics. A used VMC gives you a proven machine at a fraction of the new price – often with a short lead time instead of months of waiting.

Why buy used?

For job shops, tool and mold makers and maintenance workshops, a VMC is the most flexible way to start or expand: small batches, changing orders and fast changeovers can be handled economically.

Typical applications

  • Housings, plates, flanges and covers in one-off and small-batch production
  • Fixtures, clamping devices and prototypes
  • Tool and mold making, high-speed aluminum machining

What to check before buying

  • Spindle hours, smoothness and spindle run-out
  • Condition of guideways and ball screws (backlash, reversal error)
  • Control (e.g. Heidenhain, Fanuc, Siemens) and spare-parts availability
  • Tool magazine, tool holder (SK/HSK) and tool change time
  • Travels, table size and table load for your parts

Frequently asked questions

Which size do I need?

What matters is your largest workpiece including clamping, and the required travels in X, Y and Z. Allow some reserve and tell us your material and quantities – we will recommend suitable machines.

What does a used machining center cost?

The price depends on year, equipment and condition and is quoted individually per machine (“price on request”). Write to us – we usually reply the same day.

Can I see a machine before buying?

Ask us about inspection and a test run – we will clarify this case by case.
